Eastern Point Lighthouse is right at the end of the Gloucester Harbor and makes me think of the smell of the ocean. Growing up, we spent so much time at my grandparents’ house on Atlantic Avenue in Glouceter. We would spend weekends on the rocks by the ocean looking for starfish and crabs hiding sneakily under the rocks. I love the ocean breeze, crashing waves, and salty air. Eastern Point Lighthouse is for me a reminder of my days spent at their house. Perhaps for you, this lighthouse is also a reminder of the North Shore or East Coast.
